Saturday, May 10 ( 8:00 a.m.) Runners and walkers will once again travel 3.1 miles along the mostly flat, fast, and straight course of Lewisville-Clemmons Road in the 14th annual ROCC 5K. It’s the perfect setting for your first, next, or best 5K road race. Enjoy the unique offerings of free childcare (infant thru K), free race photos, and a kid's fun zone, as you help to support the 2024 beneficiary, World Relief Triad! Volunteers are needed! And once again, the ROCC 5K will award unique age group awards to the top three in each age group and continue to reward cash prizes ($175 - $125 - $75) to the overall winners (male / female, 1-3). Just a few reasons why the ROCC 5K is a perfect course for the first-time runner/walker and the local elite.
Along with the 14th Annual 5K, the ROCC Kid’s Fun Run will be held at approximately 9:00 AM. Announcements will be made and opportunities provided for runners to retrieve children from childcare or the fun zone, and assemble along the north side of the church lot, near the office entrance. Kid’s run through the back property and along the ROCC prayer trail, returning to the front of the church parking lot and making their way through the 5K finish line chute. The distance is approximately 1/4 - 1/2 mile. No registration is required. 5K awards and door prizes will begin at 9:15 AM.
While the ROCC 5K has always strived to host a best-in-class race experience with the utmost hospitality, our heart is always tied to the support we provide each year's beneficiary. The 2025 event will support World Relief Triad. For those unfamiliar with their work, World Relief, founded in the 1940s to meet humanitarian needs across war-torn Europe, has since branched into local (primarily independent) offices that have worked with the US government since 1970 in providing needed services and Christ-like compassion to displaced people groups through the US Refugee Admission Program.
From resettlement services to medical needs to employment assistance, legal services, and church/community outreach, World Relief Triad is a first touch to those escaping war, violence, famine, and poverty worldwide, simply seeking a safe and stable fresh start. To that end, World Relief Triad currently serves individuals/families from 20 countries and, for over 30 years, has depended on volunteers from across the community, including over 100 churches/organizations, and receives over half of their funding through donations and local partnerships.
We are grateful to come alongside World Relief Triad in this season and look forward to helping them welcome, serve, and love some of our newest neighbors. - If you would like assistance with online signup, please visit River Oaks Community Church Front Office (1855 Lewisville-Clemmons Road), weekdays through Thursday, May 8, or stop by the River Oaks Community Church RESOURCE CENTER on Sunday mornings through May 4, we would be more than happy to help you register to walk, run, volunteer, donate, or sponsor the ROCC 5K.

- Race Day registration ($35) between 6:30 - 7:30 am at River Oaks Community Church.

Race Course
With one lane of traffic coned off for ROCC 5K runners and walkers, and with the always exhilarating loop around WFHS (track included), the ROCC 5K course is especially scenic on race morning. Enjoy the mostly flat, rolling ups and downs, of almost two miles of Lewisville-Clemmons Road. It's a once-annual opportunity for locals.

- Age division awards for male & female finishers from 9 and under through 85+

PACKET PICK-UP will be held at River Oaks Community Church (ROCC) on the following days ONLY:
Friday, May 9, from 5:00 - 7:00pm & Saturday, May 10 (Race Day), from 6:45 - 7:30am
FRIDAY NIGHT PRE-RACE SPAGHETTI DINNER: On Friday, May 9, the ROCC Student Ministry will be hosting the annual Youth Missions Spaghetti Dinner beginning at 5:00 PM in the gymnasium at River Oaks Community Church. The cost of each is dinner is $10 at the door (9 & under are $5). All dinner proceeds and donations will support the 2025 ROCC Youth summer mission trips.

Childcare Information
FREE CHILDCARE: Free childcare will be provided on Race Day from 7:15 am-9 am for children infant through kindergarten. Please indicate the ages of the children you plan to bring for childcare (infant through preschool).
If both parents participate, only show the total number of children under one registration to avoid double counting. Childcare registration forms must be filled out during Packet Pickup on Friday night, May 9.
