Description

Come join us on Saturday, September 21 at Vietnam Veterans Park in Concord, NC for this great inclusive event for people of ALL ABILITIES!  Let’s Get Moving for a great event and get all bodies in motion. Proceeds support the work of KennedyStrong Foundation.

Event is RAIN or SHINE

Register by Friday, September 6th to be guaranteed a shirt. All supplies after this date are first come first serve. 

Race Day Packet Pickup opens at 8:00am

Join us from 8a.m. to noon. There will be a DJ and activities for all.

  • 8:00 a.m. - event site opens
  • 9:00 a.m. - Buddy Run starts
  • 9:30 a.m. - 5K starts
  • 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. - Decathlon Activity Adventure course open as an alternative to the run/walk events
  • Virtual 5K for those who cannot attend in person but want to participate where they are

There will be 5k awards given to overall top 3 male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 10 & under, 11-15, 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61 -70, and 71 and up. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the Decathlon and for each Decathlon Station.  Awards will be given to the top three mail and female Fun Run finishers. 

5k runners and Decathlon participants will receive a bag, shirt, and giveaway items. 

Virtual Runners will not be eligible for awards.

Packet Pick Up: Thursday, September 19th at the West Cabarrus YMCA in Afton Village from 6pm to 8pm.  See Packet Pick Up section below.

Parking:  This is a 'shuttle to destination' event.  Those with special needs can receive a parking pass at packet pickup.

Pre-race Packet Pickup

Pre-race packet pick-up will be held on September 19th from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at the West Cabbarus YMCA.  The Y is easy to find - it is located in Afton Village just off I-85 exit 54.

Parking

Parking for this event will be at Harvest Community Church located at 4284 Orphanage Rd, Concord, NC 28027.  Parking lot will open at 7:15am. Shuttle service to the park will be available. Two Shuttles will run constantly from 7:45am till 12:15pm.  Special needs parking passes will be available at packet pickup.
