Description
Please join us for the 13th Annual Weddington Hills Elementary School 5k on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025!
We have an incredibly fun event planned, partnering with our Wildcats on the Move Club. There will be age group trophies for top finishers and participation medals for all kids! Rain or Shine, You'll reach the Finish Line! There will be snacks for our participants and Kona Ice will be on site for your enjoyment, grab a yummy treat while you are watching or celebrating crossing the finish line! If you would like to receive a t-shirt with your registration please sign up before the deadline.

Race Day Information
Registration
Opens March 16th, 2025 @ 6 am
Registration is based on WHES Student and/or Age.
You will need to create an account with RunSignup in order to register for the event.
Race Day Start
- Arrive at 8:15 am in order to park, pickup race packet (if needed) and have time to get into position.
School gates will close up front at 8:45, you must be parked and ready to go by 8:45. If you arrive after, the gates leading to the school will be closed and you will not be able to drive in to get to the parking lot. Race will begin promptly at 9:00 am.
Awards
Each participant who completes the race will receive a commemorative 5k metal.
Trophies
1st, 2nd, 3rd place WHES male and female students in grades K-1, 2-3, 4-5
1st place male and female in grades 6 - 8
1st place male and female in grades 9 - 12
1st place adult male and female
~T-Shirt Deadline - April 16th~
T-Shirts will be delivered to school for students at Weddington Hills Elementary, Winkler Middle School and West Cabarrus. If a parent of a student, you will have the opportunity to specify your student and their teacher's name for delivery. If you are a community member you can pick up your packet on race day!

Your child does not need to register individually, they will be placed in the system by the school.
