Course Map

The race course (See attached course map) is composed of mostly paved surfaces with an addition of brick pathing and several elevation changes. From the starting line at Stillwell, runners will experience a gradual incline on Central Dr. while approaching Old Cullowhee Rd. Runners will make a U-turn and come back down Central Dr to the light at Chili’s. Runners will cross the crosswalk, make a left, then an immediate right at the next crosswalk. Runners will then continue straight until reaching Apodaca Science Building, forcing a left turn at the cul de sac. At the end of the road there will be the WCU Bookstore on your left. Turn right at the bookstore (Norton Rd) which has a gradual decline in elevation. Running past The Village the road will eventually come to an end, resulting in another U-turn and coming back up the hill. After passing the bookstore on the left, take the very next road on the left in between the bookstore and the CRC. This road will lead runners past Einstein Bagels and under the Bell Tower, at the Bell Tower there will be cones set up for runners to follow while making their way through campus. Finally, runners will make their way back to Stillwell using the ramp located at the fountain (Left to the stairs), leading to the light at Chili’s. Make a left at the light and use the first entrance back into the Stillwell parking lot.
