THE 2022 COLOR FUN RUN IS SOLD OUT!!! THANK YOU!
Are you ready to have some fun? Come out and support access to mental health in the Lake Norman area and have some fun while doing it!
Two great opportunities to come out and have fun! First, a timed 10K/5K run/walk, and second a color fun run for all ages! Feeling strong and want to participate in both? Excellent! The events are staggered so runners can complete the 10K/5K and join in the fun of the color fun run.
- 10K/5K - Start time 8:00am
- Color fun run- Start time 9:30am
Please register for the combined event if you want to participate in both. Families young and old are welcome and encouraged to participate!
Join us at 7:30am for a pre-race warm up provided by Jazzercise Lake Norman!
What's a color fun run?
Color fun run participants will run or walk a short course (less than a mile) in a race provided white T-shirt. Volunteers throw color powder at the runners/walkers as they go by, and by the end of the run participants are covered in colors! Color fun run participants registered prior to MAY 19th will be provided with a white colored T-shirt and sunglasses for the color fun run. Children under 5 must run chaperoned.
Don't Miss the Post-Race Party
The races will start on South Street near the Old Davidson School, and finish at the Village Green. The post-race party will be on the Village Green with music, free food, and fun activities. Don't miss a chance to relax and visit our vendors!
Prizes
Prizes and awards for top 10K/5K finishers:
Lululemon Birkdale is outfitting the top male and female finishers for our 5K and 10K with new outfits (max $200)!

All participants will get a runner's swag bag at packet pickup with lots of goodies from our sponsors.
- 10K/5K participants will get a runner's performance visor. Due to supply chain issues, only participants registered before May 5th are guaranteed a running visor.
- Color fun run participants will get a white race t-shirt to wear on race day as well as sunglasses. Due to supply chain issues, only participants registered before May 19th are guaranteed a t-shirt and sunglasses.

Course Map
All races will start at the Old Davidson School, 251 South Street Davidson and end at the Davidson Village Green at Lorimer. ALL COURSES WILL BE MARKED AND THERE WILL BE COURSE VOLUNTEERS.
5K Course Description- Participants will head down South Street to the Greenway, along the Greenway to Avinger. Participants will make a right on Pine and continue to the intersection of Pine & Patrick Johnston. This will be the first water station. 5K participants will turn around and continue up Pine to Lorimer, make a left on Lorimer and continue to the Davidson Village Green.
10K Course Description-Participants will head down South Street to the Greenway, along the Greenway to Avinger. Participants will make a right on Pine and continue to the intersection of Pine & Patrick Johnston. This will be the first water station. 10K participants will turn left on Patrick Johnston and connect to the South Prong Greenway. Participants will continue to the end of the Greenway at Davidson Concord Road, where they will find Water Station #2 and the 10K turn around. Participants will turn around and follow the Greenway back to Patrick Johnston and Pine, where they will see Waters Station #1 again. Participants will rejoin the 5K route at this point and make a right on Pine continuing to Lorimer, make a left on Lorimer and continue to the Davidson Village Green.
Color Fun Run Description- Participants will head down South Street to Mimosa. They will turn around at Mimosa, go back up South Street, make a right on Chairman Blake and a left on Lorimer to the finish. Course is less than one mile. There will be 3-4 color stations along the way, marked with balloons. Participants are asked to stay on the right hand side of the road to avoid participants coming back up South Street.
Color Fun Run- Important Information
We have more than 100 people registered for the color fun run! To keep things safe, we will assign color waves at packet pick up. If you registered AFTER the T-Shirt cut off date of May 19th, you are NOT guaranteed a t-shirt or sunglasses. We have extra, but they are first come, first serve. Please plan to come to packet pick up on Thursday or Friday if you are a late registrant.
The color fun run starts on South Street and we will start in waves of 20-25 participants. Color stations will be marked with balloons. Please stay on the right hand side of the street, as there may be waves coming back from the turn around point. If you wish to skip a color station, please go around the station on the sidewalk. The color is non-toxic and biodegradable, but it MAY STAIN. T-shirts and sunglasses will be provided to those that registered before the cut-off date. If you are concerned about inhaling the color, you may wear a mask or bandana.

This race will start near the Old Davidson School at 119 South Street in downtown Davidson at 8am. All participants are encouraged to
meet before the race at the Village Green, approximately 2 minutes away from the start. All races will finish at the Davidson Village Green.
