Description

Shine a Light on Mental Health: 4th Annual Glow Run & Community Wellness Fair

Join us on Saturday, March 29th, for our 4th Annual Shine a Light on Mental Health Glow Run and Community Wellness Fair! Let’s come together to raise awareness for mental health while having fun and staying active.

This year’s event will be held at the R.L. Vaughan Center, located on Elizabeth City State University’s campus. The evening kicks off at 5:30 PM with our Community Wellness Fair, where you’ll find health resources, activities, and local organizations dedicated to supporting mental well-being.

We are excited to bring back our Art Showcase this year with a powerful and thought-provoking theme: “Mindscapes: An Inside Look at the Human Mind and Emotions.” This showcase invites artists of all kinds to explore and express the depths of the human experience through their craft. The judging of the Showcase will begin at 6:30 PM.

Then, at 7:00 PM, get ready to light up the night as we run, walk, and scoot through the glow-filled course! Don’t forget to dress in your most vibrant glow or neon attire—it’s going to be a dazzling and unforgettable experience.

Event Highlights:

  • 5:30 PM: Community Wellness Fair opens
  • 6:30 PM: Art Showcase begins
  • 7:00 PM: Glow Run starts

Whether you’re participating in the Glow Run or just stopping by the Wellness Fair, you won’t want to miss this chance to be a part of something special, support mental health awareness, and have fun with your community. Glow and neon attire encouraged!

Mark your calendars, bring your friends, and shine a light with us!

This event is hosted by The Villages of North Carolina, a nonprofit organization that serves the 29 counties in northeastern North Carolina. This year, we are raising funds to host a Mental Health First Aid training program for 20 participants in Elizabeth City.
