Because Emanuel Syndrome is a duplication of the 11th and 22nd chromosomes, November 22nd is Emanuel Syndrome Day. Children from all over the world are affected with this rare syndrome that results in severe physical and cognitive disabilities. Since we cannot be together on this day, we thought it would be fun to race together in the virtual world! In other words, this is not an actual road race! You are encouraged to walk or run in your local neighborhood on race day and post a photo on the race Facebook page and your social media page with a link to www.emanuelsyndrome.org to raise awareness. So join us on November 22nd to run while raising awareness and funds all at the same time.
