Description
The Irving Park PTA 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run, presented by Murphy Wainer Orthopedics is not only a PTA fundraiser but a fun community event as well. The 5k course winds through the beautiful streets of Kirkwood and Old Irving Park, before making its way back to finish at Irving Park Elementary.
The proceeds of the 5K and Fun Run will benefit Irving Park Elementary PTA. With the help of Irving Park PTA 5k and Fun Run, Irving park Elementary is:

The only teacher Certified STEAM elementary school in Guilford County.

Learning with a hands-on STEAM Lab.

Exploring with a 3D printer.

Creating with a glass and clay pottery kiln.

Teaching with Lego Robotics.

Growing with classroom gardens.

Learning interactively with wireless internet throughout the school.

Beating to our global drums in music class, which boosts mathematical skills while making music.

Innovating through special science workshops about magnets, harnessing heat, ecosystems and weather.

Enjoying our improved campus with newly painted trim, walkways, fencing and lighting.
