On Saturday, November 11th, participants of all ages will come together for this fun-filled, family-friendly event, united in making a difference and enthusiastic in building awareness while raising critical funds in the fight against lung cancer, the leading cancer-killer of both women and men. You won't want to miss this!
If you have lungs, you can get lung cancer, and the statistics for those diagnosed are not currently very encouraging: lung cancer takes more lives than breast, prostate, colon and kidney cancers combined while the 5-year survival rate is only 18% for those diagnosed with this disease. However, together, we are making a difference, honoring the hope in research advancements being funded by your generosity and taking action to save lives.
The LUNGe Forward Run, Walk and Rally celebrates both military veterans as well as lung cancer survivors while providing fun for everyone attending, including music, dancing, food, exhibitors, festivities, Crazy Running activities, Natty Greene's beer and an excellent 5K course through Downtown Greensboro.
