Description
This event spreads the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can and do recover. This year’s theme, “Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community,” emphasizes that recovery is indeed for Pitt County! As we share resources and build networks that support recovery, in all forms, our hope is to inspire people from all walks of life to find the path to hope, health, and wellness.
With the current pandemic crisis affecting the entire world, the event will take place outdoors with plenty of social distancing. The ECU North Recreational Complex is a sprawling outdoor landscape with plenty of outdoor activities including kayaks, stand up paddle boards, jungle gym, and much more! This year will be the return of our in-person Fun Run 5K as well as a virtual race option for those less inclined to be in close contact with people. Race participants will be allowed to post their times after they complete the run at their convenience between September 12-19, 2021.
