THE RACE

Hampstead Kiwanis Park Turkey Trot

This is a wonderful annual family event.

All children who participate in the Kids Sprint receive a medal on a lanyard. Many Marines and running groups attend.

Trophies are awarded to the top three finishers in their age category. 

SWAG

RACE SHIRT:
Participants who register by October 18, 2023, and attend the event, will get a Hampstead Kiwanis Park Turkey Trot shirt. Those who register after October 18th can choose from remaining sizes while supplies last. (Adult sizes have long sleeves and youth sizes have short sleeves.)  

FINISHER MEDAL:
All Kids Sprint participants will be awarded a finisher medal at the finish line.

THE COURSE

The Kids Sprint is run exclusively in the Hampstead Kiwanis Park. The 8K and 2-Mile races start in the Park and include sections on pavement, through neighborhoods, near Harbour Village Marina and along the Intracoastal Waterway. The 8K and 2-Mile races turn back at the halfway point and retrace the path taken back into the Park.  

This race course is stroller & wheelchair friendly.
However, dogs are not permitted at the Park so please leave pooches at home.

THE CAUSE

This is a charity race to benefit the Hampstead Kiwanis Park, and all proceeds go to improving the Park.

Twenty-six acres have yet to be developed, which will include multi-purpose fields, tennis courts, Pickle Ball courts, trails, additional parking and more amenities. The Park also hosts ball clubs and community events.

The Kiwanis Club of Hampstead works closely with Pender County Parks and Recreation to provide a safe place for sports, family and community events.
