Camp Runabout is an all-inclusive, fun-filled summer camp for adult runners (sorry, you gotta be 21). With locations in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, Camp Runabout brings like-minded runners together for 3 days of training and fun. Camp Runabout allows you to revisit the fun you had (or missed) at summer camp as a child while enjoying the benefits of adulthood (an open bar!). Each morning starts with a run in a scenic trail run. During the day, our 200-acre camp is your playground, as you are free to explore all of your favorite camp activities like zip-lining, high ropes course, flying trapeze, arts & crafts, canoeing, kayaking and more. The fun continues into the evenings with nationally-recognized speakers, a bonfire with smores, nightly entertainment, and an open bar.

Camp Runabout’s all-inclusive experience encompasses all of your meals, lodging, camp activities, speakers, entertainment and an open bar throughout the weekend. So once you pull into camp you can put your wallet away.

Meals: Breakfast (with mimosas and bloody marys), lunch and dinner. We will also have a snack cart available every day, and late-night munchies.

Pennsylvania Camp -  Each cabin has its own showers, toilets, and sinks, along with a porch for relaxation. For those coming camp with a loved one (or if you simply want more privacy), we have a limited number of private rooms available. Our private rooms still share hallway bathrooms.

North Carolina Camp - Built in the 1920s, our cabins are rustic but comfortable—and newly updated! Cabins house eight campers, and each have a newly built porch. All are in close proximity to our renovated bathhouses.

Camp Activities: We offer a wide range of fun camp activists for your enjoyment like a high ropes course, low ropes course, zip line, flying Trapeze (PA camp only) climbing tower, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boats, fishing, swimming, arts & crafts, kickball, dodgeball, tennis, softball, and more. You are free to revisit your childhood at your own pace. Go from one activity to the next, hang out at your favorite one all day long.

Open Bar: We will have an open bar during the evenings starting with Happy Hour and continuing through dinner and nightly entertainment. For your safety, there will be no alcohol served during daily camp activities.

Speakers & Instructors: Camp Runabout will feature nationally-known speakers that are both educational and inspirational. Our speakers will cover topics that are of interest to everyday runners. Please watch our website and newsletter for announcements about upcoming speakers. Camp Runabout will also have a host of instructors who will lead classes throughout the weekend. Our daily classes will cover everything from Zumba, yoga, boot camp,  and more.

Entertainment: Late night entertainment includes DJs, musicians, or band. We will also have a theme party on Friday or Saturday night; you will be notified before camp about the theme so you can come dressed for the occasion.

Massage Therapists: We have a team of massage therapists at every camp. You can sign up for a massage when you arrive, during check-in. The. The cost of a massage is $30 per half-hour (should you choose to get one). Campers pay the massage therapists directly.

At Camp Runabout, we all have something in common - we love running as much as we love having fun. So if you want to escape the "real world" and spend a long weekend in the mountains with other runners who like to have a good time, then register now because spots are limited.
