Event Information
Kick off the summer season at Trailside Brewing at Lennox station with the Summer Session 10k & 5k! Both courses will be fully on the all new Ecusta Trail greenway system! The Ecusta Trail is a newly transformed greenway that was originally a rail line. Both courses start at Trailside Brewing and are an out-and-back all on the trail.
We’ve also added a kids’ .25 mile Sunshine Sprint untimed event before the 10k and 5k! The Sunshine Sprint is $10 and includes a finisher medal and race bib. Sunshine Sprinters can add on a race shirt for $20 during check out. Youth small and medium available. There are not awards for the Sunshine Sprint.
A Finisher medal, 1 beer from Trailside (or non-alcoholic beverage!), race shirt, & chip timing are included in race registration. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Mills River Partnership.

Dogs on the Course: For safety purposes, and in compliance with our race insurance, we do not allow dogs or any other animals to run with participants at our events. Service animals will be allowed with prior approval (more than 5 days ahead of race day send request to info@kickitevents.com and supporting documentation. Running with your animal will result in disqualification from award categories and timing results.
Strollers are welcome! We just ask that you start at the back of the pack.

Overall awards for runners in the male, female & nonbinary categories are below:

2nd Place $20 Gift Certificate to Fleet Feet Asheville
3rd Place $15 Gift Certificate to Fleet Feet Asheville
1st Place Masters (40+) $15 Gift Certificate to Fleet Feet Asheville
1st Place Grand Masters (50+) $15 Gift Certificate to Fleet Feet Asheville
Age Group awards are Trailside Brewing pint glasses and will be given out to the top 3 male, nonbinary and female times in the following categories.
0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & up.
Please note that we do not ship awards.
There are no awards for the Sunshine Sprint.
Non Profit Partner
This race proudly supports the Mills River Partnership and their mission to preserve, protect and improve the water quality in the Mills River. Formed in 1998, MRP focuses on educating the local community about water quality issues and helping farmers and other landowners implement best management practices to control sediment pollution.
A portion of 10k & 5k race proceeds will be donated to the Mills River Partnership! Runners can add on donations through the check out process.

Parking Info
There is a parking lot at Trailside Brewing that will fill up fast! We have parking volunteers that will help park runners. Please do not park in the Ecusta Market & Cafe marked parking spots unless you’re planning on visiting them!
There is street parking available on West Allen, Washington Street, 5th Avenue, and in Downtown Hendersonville! Give yourself time to get parked and get to the brewery.
