Fall 2020 Kids 5K training in Holly Springs is brought to you by Pace Yourself Run Company and The Running PTs.  Class is 8 weeks long, (with the week of Labor Day off) and is geared toward helping kids aged 8-12 years old train to run a 5K at the end of the season.  All levels and paces are welcome!

The class will include a detailed daily plan over the 8 weeks, with 1 coached group run per week. The coached group run is in person and will follow strict protocols and restrictions to keep all children and coaches as safe as possible during this pandemic.  Exercise is good at all times, especially now, and being outside while maintaining social distance is one of the safest things we can do.  Each class session will be capped at 20 registrants.  We will have 5 coaches so that we can split into groups of 4 for all runs and focus on keeping space between everyone throughout the class sessions.  Your child will have their temperature checked before each session and if it's 100.4 or above, they will be asked to leave.  Also we will have health screening questions at each session and if any have responses that indicate any illness, your child will be asked to leave.  If anyone in the class tests positive for COVID-19 during the season, they will need stop attending the class immediately, should quarantine, and cannot return to class for 2 weeks.  Their small run sub-group (kids & adult coach) will also need to quarantine for 2 weeks and miss classes.  Please take this seriously and limit your family's social interactions during the season outside of class as it impacts more than just your child.

Cost of the class is $50 if you register by 8/9/20.  Registration cost from 8/10 - 8/29 is $60.  Deadline to register is 8/29/20.

Cost includes: 8-week training schedule, 1 coach-led group workout per week, email access to the coach throughout the program, 20% off discount at Pace Yourself Run Company (some restrictions apply), training class shirt (deadline to get a training shirt is to register by 8/29), in-class seminars on running-related topics, and weekly tips and running information from your coach and The Running PTs to supplement your knowledge.

Program dates: August 9th - October 10th.  There are 2 class options: Mondays at 6pm or Wednesdays at 6pm.  Each class will be capped at 20 registrations.  The class will meet at Womble Park (drop-off/pick-up near tennis courts: 300 Stinson Avenue, Holly Springs, NC 27540).
