Ruby's Misfits Animal Rescue's 1st Annual "Santa Paws" 5K Fun Run/Walk

Ruby’s Misfits Animal Rescue is a local 501c3 organization dedicated to animal welfare. Our non-profit rescues dogs from high kill animal shelters and provides those animals with proper veterinary care, loving foster homes, and the chance of a forever home. We also provide vet care and spay/neuter opportunities to members in our community that cannot afford it due to life’s unpredictability.

We are hosting our 1st Annual "Santa Paws" 5K Fun Run/Walk in an effort to raise awareness and funds to allow us to further help the animals in our communities and will give us the opportunity to eventually get a no kill animal sanctuary built within the county.

   The success of our rescue is relying on the support of our community and the financial generosity of sponsors. Our organization has just celebrated the anniversary of our first year of operation and in that time, we have established WEEKLY adoption events which have allowed us to rescue and adopt out over 350 animals. That is an enormous impact on the shelters we work so closely with.

The "Santa Paws" 5k Fun Run/Walk will be a Canine Friendly Event! Friendly dogs are welcome to run with you in the race or cheer you on from the sidelines! There will be awards for Top 3 Male Finishers, Top 3 Female finishers, and Top 3 Finishers with a Canine! The Run will begin at 9:00am at Onslow Fitness, and with a loop course will end there as well (there will be a max finish time of 90 minutes).
