Beneficiary: You! This event is the annual membership event for your race organizer, the Outer Banks Running Club. By registering for this race, you also receive Club membership for 2020 (January 1 through December 31, 2020). Registration: Online registration will close at noon on Wednesday 1/15/19 (or sooner if race capacity is reached). Walk-up registration may be available at packet pick-up and race morning if the event is not full, but your best bet is to register online now! Participants registered by midnight on Sunday, January 01/05/2020 will guaranteed a Outer Banks Running Club Logo's Jacket. We will order a limited number of extras for those participants who register after that deadline, and we will do our best to accommodate you, but it is not guaranteed.
Course Map & Information: http://connect.garmin.com/jsPlayer/141582218 A digital race clock will be positioned at the start/finish for you to keep track of your own time. There will be no chip timing so that we can save the added expense and give it back to you the members in the form of better quality swag for this event and other member benefits throughout the year!
On-course Hydration & Medical Services: Water station near mid-point of the course. Dare County EMS will be on-call.
Packet Pick-up: Friday 1/17/20 from 4:00pm-6:30pm at Aviation Park, 102 Veterans Drive, Kill Devil Hills (Take Colington Road off of 158 near Milepost 8.5) or Race Day from 8:00am-8:30am on-site at Aviation Park.
Post-race Hospitality: Light refreshments for registered participants only. No alcohol is permitted.
Race Day Parking: Across the street at First Flight High School, 100 Veterans Drive, Kill Devil Hills (take Colington Road off of 158 near Milepost 8.5). No parking is allowed at Aviation Park on race morning (race operations & post-race hospitality will be based there).
Refunds/Transfers/Inclement Weather: There will be no refunds or transfers. The race will be held rain or shine, but may be delayed or cancelled in the event of unsafe weather conditions (ex. lightning).
Race swag will be handed out at packet pick-up, it will not be mailed. You will be able to collect after the race in Kill Devil Hills by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Swag will be kept for one year and then discarded.
