Dirty Dancing Festival
We are happy to announce that the Lake Lure Olympiad is now hosted the same weekend as the Dirty Dancing Festival (on the other side of Lake Lure)! The Dirty Dancing Festival celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2014, so if you don’t want to run, swim or bike, you can always dance!
3 Races in 3 Days Challenge
If one or two races is not enough of a challenge, then try the Lake Lure Olympiad's "3 Races in 3 Days Challenge." Begin with the 10K Dam Run on Friday night, follow with the Lake Lure Triathlon on Saturday morning and close out the weekend at top of magnificent Chimney Rock with the Race to the Rock (a 25-mile bike or 5K run that ends with a 6% grade incline three miles straight up to the top of Chimney Rock).
Free Post-Race Massages!
Triathletes can be treated to a complimentary 5-minute massage following the race. A free massage lakeside at Rumbling Bald Resort – what could be better than that?! Other extras include an iced neck towel, t-shirt and shoulder pack.
