Common Heart Firecracker Run

Four races are featured on July 4 in the quaint village Lake Park. You can run in the 10K, 5K, 1k or for the kids we have a Firecracker Dash while you help fight hunger through supporting Common Heart's Common Cupboard food pantries. First, second and third place medals for all age groups in the 10k & 5k. Overall winners, male and female in all races, and prizes and gifts for all the kids in the dash.

PLUS: Prizes will be awarded for the most "festively" dressed.
ALSO: Participants who bring 2 or more nonperishable items for the food pantry will receive a free raffle ticket to vie for prizes like gift cards to local businesses. Additional tickets will be available for purchase at $2 each or 3 for $5.
O WAYS TO RUN/WALK THE FIRECRACKER!
Run as an Ambassador for hungry families!As an Ambassador you will run/walk/volunteer for pledges and donations. There is no registration fee. You are welcome to participate in any of our races or volunteer or just collect donations on behalf of families in need. The minimum we expect for each ambassador to collect in donations is $250. Many Ambassadors collect well in excess of $1000. Each $25 donation collected will buy a week's worth of groceries for a family in need.

You can register online here at this site and run in any of our races. The 10k begins at 7:30 am on the 4th of July, followed by a 5k. During the 5k, there also will be a 1k run. After each these three races are completed, the Kids Firecracker Dash will begin at 10 a.m., with awards following.
