Returning for  2023: A Virtual Option, A New location and A New Distance of a 5k ,  

Race Details:

8:30 am 5K Kicks Off: 1050 Zacks Fork Rd.  Lenoir, NC 28645

7:30 am - 8:15 am Race day sign ups and final packet pickup. We will offer race sign ups Friday and Saturday $40

*Sign up by March 17 to be guaranteed a race t-shirt 

Friday Night (March 24th)

We will offer Early Packet Pick Up: 4 PM - 7 PM

Virtual Runners. You will have a chance during registration to add on a shipping fee for us to ship your t-shirt and race packet bag to you. Make sure you get signed up by March 17th to guarantee a t-shirt. You will also be able to upload your results starting Friday morning thru Sunday evening back on your profile page. 

On March 25, 2017, our family changed forever when father and son, Chris and Cody Gragg, were killed in a tragic accident. Following their deaths, people began giving donations in their memory. Touched by this generosity, we established a non-profit organization in honor of Chris & Cody with a dedicated focus to support local children and families.  By participating in the Carolina Sweetheart 5K, named for Chris’ favorite tree the “Carolina Sweetheart”, you help us keep their memories alive and give back to the community at the same time.
