MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW AND Come out and join us for the  12th Annual “Spring Spirit” 5K Run / Walk for Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Race Day Registration will begin at 7:30. All Pre-registered entrants can pick up our race chips and race day packets if you haven't already done so before race day. As a reminder, race day packets are available for pick up for all pre-registered racers/walkers on Friday, March 26th 2021

This school year, we have added 5th grade, so all proceeds to benefit the students of S.Ray Lowder Elementary School focusing on the enhancement of playground equipment and classroom technology.

The run begins and ends at S. Ray Lowder winding its way through the beautiful Kennedy Dr. neighborhood, East Park and Cedar Street block neighborhood and Rock Creek/Crest View Area of Lincolnton with plenty of flat and gentle slopes.  Same Course as 2018

Awards for the top male / female finisher and for age group winners along with tons of great door prizes. Post-race fun and family entertainment. All kids 12 and under will receive a medal. Plus we are planning some other exciting things for our 12th Year! THANK YOU to each of you that have participated in the past! In 2019 we had 310 participants, YOU made our 11th Year a HUGE Success! Cancelled in 2020 for COVID-19

Age Group break down: 12 and under, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Early Bird Packet Pick Up: Friday the 26th until 5pm at S Ray Lowder Office.

Race day registration and packet pick up 7:30-8:45 am

T shirt deadline is March 11th

Safety Measures in place for 2021:

We will follow the CDC guidelines to the best of our ability.

Mask must be worn at all times  but can be removed once the runner starts the event.

The start line will be socially distanced marked with a 6 foot expectation between all runners (faster runners near the front progressing to the walkers).

To reduce exposure we will include water and snacks in the race bag.

We will set up  our registration tables sufficiently distanced and mark waiting areas.

We will offer a couple of days prior to race for folks to pick up bags (TBD).   

We will post our signs reminding people to wear masks and keep their distance.

Vendors that want to set up, we will offer them the Plexiglass barriers that we have, unless they have their own. We will also distance the booths , and mark waiting spaces.

Children finish line  medals will be  include in their race bags.
