St. Luke would like to invite you to once again show your support for our local veterans in need. For the past 5 years we have hosted our Home for Our Heroes 5k Run/Walk to support our local veterans living in the Piedmont area. The money raised has helped local veterans overcome homelessness. This year we will expand our reach to include helping our local veterans with transportation services and home repair as well as continue to support the Heroes House in their goal of ending homelessness for our local veterans.
We want to give you all a chance to continue to support this often overlooked part of our community. It is our turn to serve those who have served us. In the spirit of Sgt. Peter Thomas Meletis USMC who made it his life long mission to serve others, we are hoping to raise money to provide for those less fortunate than ourselves.
Please join us by signing up to run or walk our 5k. We will implement best practices for social distancing and will be outdoors for check in and race packet pick up. If you are unable to attend, you can still work together to support our local veterans as a ghost runner, through sponsorship or donations.
We will be awarding winning medals this year for best male and female and for each age category.
Race packet pickup will be on race day starting at 7:30AM at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church. Our address is 134 Talbert Pointe Drive Mooresville, NC 28117.
We thank you again for your support as we remember that we rise by lifting others.
