COVID-19 - Event Cancellation
Dear RunTimeRaces Community,
After much consideration and consultation with multiple disciplines within our community, our team has made the decision to cancel all 2020 RunTimeRaces events. We have concluded that hosting these events poses an undeniable risk to the public and we’re not willing to take that risk. We also took into consideration the associated liability, economic impact, and our civic responsibility to do our part to help slow the spread of COVID-19 during this pandemic. We will be communicating with our affiliates during the following weeks regarding this difficult decision.

Tires Plus Tire Pros of Valdese is hosting the 3rd Annual Gift of Giving 5K (Walk or Run) event to raise funds and awareness for local veterans. This course starts and finishes at Catawba Meadows Park in Morganton, and will lead you out and back on the Morganton Greenway.
Phantom Runner
Can't participate and would still like to support our event and get a cool race shirt? Consider being a PHANTOM RUNNER (No participation required, shirts may be picked up at Packet Pick up or on-site Race Day.
Early Registration through 11:59 pm on Tuesday, October 27th includes a custom race tee. Late Registration is from 12 am Wednesday, October 28th through 11:59 pm Tuesday, November 3rd. Race Day Registration opens from 7:45 am - 8:45 am. (NO Race Tee with Late OR Race Day Registration).
Awards
Given to the top 3 male & female finishers, and top Overall Masters male and female. Awards will go to the top 3 male and female 5K finishers in the following age groups:
Age Divisions (Male & Female)
10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19,
20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+ (*Walkers are welcome, but no specific awards will be give. The course will be monitored for 60 minutes)

Hello Friends,
We hope this letter finds you doing well.
We are writing you in regards to a community service event, the third annual Gift of Giving 5K.
Last year, with the support of many businesses and individuals in our community, the Gift of Giving 5K raised over $12,000 to benefit local United States Veterans. We worked with veteran organizations in our area to ensure that the money raised was properly distributed to those in need. The support from the 5k was used to assist local veterans with items such as:
· Christmas gifts and meals for veterans and their families
· Medical support and financial needs for a local veteran who has cancer, directly related burn pit exposure
· Each local community college in our area received funds to assist veterans with textbooks and scholarships
· Dental supplies were funded for the Foothill’s Veteran’s Stand Down
We need your help to make this event a continued success. Will you please consider sponsoring the Gift of Giving 5K though a donation? Enclosed in this packet you will find our sponsorship levels with the corresponding benefits.
We also welcome give-away items for the participant race bags and for door prize drawings held at the end of the event.
We have organized “The Gift of Giving 5K” as a 501c3 organization, and therefore we have been approved by the IRS as a tax exempt, charitable organization.
This is an excellent way to raise awareness of your company and simultaneously assist a worthy cause. Please help us to give back to our United States Veterans. They have given so much to us! “All gave some, some gave all!”
