We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the 3rd annual Run as One 5K!
Mental health disorders affect the lives of millions of people every day. Many of these individuals will go undiagnosed due to a lack of education about available resources and because they fear being labeled. Our goal is to raise awareness about the 1 in 5 individuals who suffer with mental health issues every year. By raising awareness we hope to destigmatize mental illness while promoting access to treatment. So please join us as we Run as One to raise awareness, celebrate recovery, and put an end to mental illness stigma.
The race will begin at 8:00am at Catawba Meadows Park and will finish on the Greenway near the shelters. Professional chip timing will be provided by Racing Toes INC. A commemorative T-shirt will be provided for all participants who sign up before May 1st. After the race free refreshments, music, games and an awards celebration will take place. Participants will also have the opportunity to have their picture taken. Children under the age of 12 who are not competing are free to participate at no charge.
