Description
COURSE - A 3.1 mile course that loops through and around the beautiful West Rowan area. For competitive and recreational runners. Walkers welcomed.
All proceeds go to Rowan Helping Ministries - a not-for-profit volunteer-based corporation which operates human service programs to assist the economically disadvantaged.
*Canned goods and used running shoes will be collected at the race. Donated items will be dispersed by Rowan Helping Ministries after the race.

AWARDS - Immediately following the race: 5K Top 3 Male and Female participants in each age division. Top 3 Overall Male and Female. Overall Masters Male and Female.
1/2 Mile Fun-Run Top 3 Male and Female ages 12 and under.
AGE GROUPS 5K 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
1/2 Mile Fun Run 12 & under
SHIRTS - The first 150 5K participants will receive a long-sleeve technical t-shirt.
DIRECTIONS - The Country Life Museum Building is at Sloan Park on Sloan Road, just off Highway 150 midway between Salisbury and Mooresville. Just follow the signs for Sloan Park near the Millbridge Community crossroads. Turn left on Sloan Road coming from Mooresville and right on Sloan Road coming from Salisbury. Sloan Park is on the left less than a half mile from Hwy. 150. Once you enter Sloan Park, take the first left and the the Country Life Museum Building is immediately on the left. There is parking available across from the Museum Building. Additional parking is available at the restrooms (continue straight without turning left when you enter the park).

Timing and scoring for the 5K will be provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners.
Bigfoot Humans
Big foot humans will also be honored at the Santa Run. All women with a running shoe size 10 and over and all males with a running shoe size 12 and over will be entered in a special drawing for an unusual award. To qualify, the running shoes used to complete the 5K must be the sizes listed above.
Any Bigfoot running faster than a 10 minute 5K will automatically qualify for the 2023 Bigfoot Olympics in Remer, Minnesota!!
