The Full Marathon starts at 6:45am and you will weave your way along the marsh, around a golf community and through the beautiful Arboretum. Then turn-around in front of the lighthouse, 12 miles of beach front running and beautiful views from the top of the ICW bridge.
Again this year we will offer Two Half Marathon options for you to choose from. Half Marathon East will start at 6:45am along with the Full Marathon and run the eastern portion with beautiful views and no elevation - this Half Marathon will be FAST! Half Marathon West will start at 7:15 and run the second half of the Full Marathon Course and includes lots of beach front running and beautiful views from the ICW bridge. The 5K starts at 7:45am and the 1 mile walk/run starts at 8:30am.
The giveaway is a custom designed fleece blanket and all Finishers will receive a Huge Dimensional Locket Style Medal which will include a photograph of Oak Island by one of our local artists. *Please Note - the giveaway is for the Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K distances only.

Located in lower Brunswick County of coastal North Carolina these races take place in the 4 lower barrier islands - just north of Myrtle Beach SC and south of Wilmington NC. These islands are Turtle Sanctuaries with natural beauty in all directions from sunrise to sunset you won't regret the trip to Run the NC Coast! New this year, participate in all 4 events and earn a HUGE 8 inch Challenge Medal. This can be any combination of distance including the Full Marathon, Half Marathon or 5K and may also combine with a virtual or two if your unavailable to make any of the dates. We certainly hope you'll come and run with us on location - it's funner to run with friends!
