Event Description
The 36th annual Uwharrie Mountain Run offers challenging, winter, single-track trail runs of 8, 20, and 40 miles in central North Carolina’s Uwharrie National Forest. Rocks, roots, creeks, cookies, and handmade pottery awards make Uwharrie a perennial favorite among both recreational and elite trail runners.

We need lots of them and volunteers are offered early entry into the next year's race!
A RACE TO REMEMBER!
All participants will receive a long sleeve race t-shirt, complimentary parking and shuttles, well stocked aid stations, helpful volunteers, and plenty of food and refreshments at the finish line. Awards are a special tradition at Uwharrie, a region known for its beautiful pottery. All finishers receive pottery awards, and the top overall male and female overall will also receive Altra shoe certificates. Awards are presented as runners finish.
