Description
The Jordan Lake Open Water Challenge consists of a 1.2 and 2.4 mile swimming race and will be conducted on a triangular course. The 2.4 mile race will consist of two laps of the 1.2 mile course. The 2.4 mile swim will start 10 minutes before the 1.2 mile swim (approximately 8:00 for the 2.4 mile start).
The course will start at Vista Point on the west side of Jordan Lake, near Pittsboro, North Carolina. There will be a 2 hour cutoff for the 2.4 mile swim. If you are still in the water at that point we will pull you due to time and safety concerns. No exceptions.
The course will be supported by various watercraft and rescue personnel.
