SALT & SOUND 10K, 5K, AND 1 MILER

Join us at the Rural Center on Saturday, September 19th for the Northern Outer Banks Salt & Sound Run/Walk! Explore waterfowl, wetlands, and even horses as you race along waterways, boardwalks, and scenic stretches overlooking the Currituck Sound.

The course offers diverse terrain and unforgettable views. Enjoy chip timing, well‑marked routes, water stations, and permanent restrooms. Our rear race marshals will be on horseback—ready to help you hoof it!

Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome (start toward the back). Don’t have a dog? We have some from the local shelter!
