Balloon Chasers 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run!

Come early for the run and stay late! Stick around after the race and enjoy the festival activities!

This race is not located at the Carolina BalloonFest event area. DO NOT GO TO THE BALLOON FEST RALLY AREA.
Please be sure to use your Maps/GPS to go to:
Statesville Airport Secondary Lot at 349 Old Airport Rd, Statesville NC 28677.
There will be signs to help guide you to the lot.

Registration includes a one day pass to the Carolina Balloonfest ($20 value)
We will send additional information about tickets as the race gets closer.

Finisher medals will be given to the first 100 5k participants that pre-that registered

Finisher medals will be given to the first 50 1 mile fun participants that pre-registered

Runners may arrive by 6:45 AM to register and pick up your packet.
We will not be able to check you in before 6:45 AM.

Course

This course is flat and fast!
A unique opportunity to run a 5k on the airport runway all while viewing magnificent colored hot air balloons launching and in flight!

(Permitting weather conditions)

The 5K will be chip timed.

5k Certificates

Age Group certificates will be given to the top Male/Female/Non-Binary participants in each age category.

30 - 39
40 - 49
50 - 59
60+

A finishers medal will be given to all 1 mile fun run participants.
