The race is on December 2nd, 2017 5:00 pm. Downtown Statesville, NC.
As of 11/21/2017 THE WEATHER LOOKS GREAT!
This will be a 3k(walking), 5k and 10k running road race through historic areas of Statesville. The course will go through Christmas lights and carolers cheering the runners on. There will be a custom contest before the race. We have some very strong costumes, so come to impress.
5k and 10k registration can be done on this site or in person at the early pack pick up or on Race Day starting at 3pm. 3K REGISTRATION WILL BE DAY OF AT THE EVENT CHECK IN.
The mission of the RUNNING OF THE ELVES 5K/10K is to become a catalyst of hope in the lives of local families and in the activities of charitable organizations who have financial needs. Beginning with the 2016 race and going forward, the profit from each race will be donated to a local family or charitable organization in our community.
This year we are very proud to be donating the proceeds from the event to the Stephanie Kastor Chapman Memorial Scholarship. If you have any questions please email us at runningoftheelves@gmail.com
The course has been posted in the pictures folder. The course is flat and goes through Downtown Statesville with all the Christmas lights and decorations. We will have awards for overall and age groups. There will also be door prizes and give-a-ways. Each entry will get a gift bag with a style shirt and some surprise gifts.
Awards
Given to the top 3 male & female finishers, and top Overall Masters male and female. Awards will go to the top 3 male and female 5k finishers in the following age groups:
Age Divisions (Male & Female)
10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
PACK PICK UP---At Race Day Headquarters.
We will have early pack pick up and registration on December 1st, 2017 @ 500 West Broad Street, Statesville.
Pick up is from 4pm to 6:30pm.
You can register on Race Day from 3pm to 4:45pm.
Costume Contest 4:00PM
The race will start at 5PM SHARP.
