Join the #Take5Save5 Mission. Support our Veterans over the 4th of July! They fought for our freedom, we run for their Reason!!
Over the July 4th weekend, you can have fun racing by yourself or form a team. Run, jog, walk, hop, skip, cartwheel or do anything that makes you smile at your own pace, on your own time and on your own route.
The #Take5Save5 Virtual 5K registration includes a race shirt and the proceeds support our charity partner, The Joel Fund (TJF).
The Joel Fund was founded to use the power of community to engage, educate and encourage Veterans and their families. TJF connects with Veterans across the country with virtual classes and events. Their #Take5Save5 campaign is aimed at creating awareness for Veterans who suffer from PTSD. North Carolina loses 5 veterans per week to suicide and many other states experience the same. Take 5 minutes out of your day to talk, laugh with, have coffee with or just listen to a Veteran. Those 5 minutes could change their life, and yours.
