Description
We can't wait to share this beautiful NC State Park with you! Get ready to add a new Eastern Carolina trail event to your fall calendar! These beginner friendly trails are highlighted with boardwalks and Spanish Moss. The barely rolling terrain allows for PR's in every distance. This event will feature a 10K Hike, 10K Race, Half Marathon Race, and a 50K Race! All races will be timed and all finishers who sign up in time will earn a sustainable wood medal.
Trail distances are not exact. Our 10K is a little long and our Half has been a little short on most watches. This year the Half will have a short out and back to make sure everyone gets the distance. (Wouldn't want to mess up anyone's Strava goals)
The Start/Finish is at the back of the park near the river beach access.
Check in/cash only sign up(limited spots available) is as follows:
50k 8:00 am to 8:45 am (starts at 9:)
Hike, 10k, Half 8:15 am to 9:15 am (starts at 9:30)
No early packet pickup but feel free to message if you have any questions.

Shirts!
Our shirts are always comfortable and printed locally! Last day to order a shirt is October 29th.
Aid!
The 10K course will have one limited aid station with water and Tailwind around the halfway point.
The Half will have limited around miles 3 and 9. Also full aid around mile 6.
The 50K will pass the visitors center bathroom/water fountain, limited station, full aid station, and another bathroom spread out over each of the four loops.
Courses!
All distances are on trails and get to pass multiple views including the beach!
10K is one loop with only one paved road crossing.
Half is two loops with two short out and backs and two paved road crossings.
50K is four loops with each including an out and back section and paved road crossing. (This is the only distance that gets to experience the Palmetto Boardwalk!)
10K Map
This is a fast, one loop, counter clockwise course with plenty of views!
Half Marathon Map
Two fast counter clockwise loops with one beach run! (This year we are adding a short out and back on the Goose Creek Trail to make sure everyone gets the full distance on their watch)
50K Map
If you love scenic trails but not technical terrain or hills this is your race. The four loop course keeps you close to aid and restrooms making it a great first or fastest 50K. The trails run by the group, individual, RV, and cabin campsites if you need a mid race break. There will also be an area by the start/finish if you want to set up your own aid table.
Food!
We will have food waiting at the finish line for all participants.
Awards!
Top 3 male and female overall will receive a custom award. 1st place in each age group will win a prize!

Socks!
All 50K participants will receive a pair of our trusty socks!
We'll also have some available for purchase on race day. (Cash only)
Camping!
If you want to make a weekend out of it, we will have limited tent sites available in the group camping area. Send us a message after you sign up if you want to reserve one!
Photos!
Last Light Productions will be onsite taking professional pics and video so be ready to look like you know what you're doing out there!
Series!
Check out our other events! If you sign up for at least three you get a series long sleeve. If you complete at least three events you're eligible for series awards.
