Description
The Waynesville Mile Fun Run is a fundraiser for the Base Camp on the Go program, in partnership with The Haywood Waterways Association. Hosted by the Waynesville Park & Rec Department - the Base Camp on the Go is our Summer outreach program. This program provides 2.5 hour mini camps for children 3 years through middle school - all around Haywood County - Waynesville, Canton, Fines Creek, Lake Junaluska, and Bethel. These mini camps are free for all to participate. The Base Camp on the Go program is the primary beneficiary through this untimed fun run, it provides games , environmental education, water safety education, and fun fun fun.
