Runners, get ready to make your way through historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina with a Half Marathon, 10K or 5K! The Battleship Half Marathon started in 1998 and is one of the oldest Half Marathons in the South. 

Moored in quiet dignity and majesty the Battleship NORTH CAROLINA, across the river from downtown Wilmington, beckons visitors to walk her decks. Be sure to join the crew during your visit.  Just show your race bib for a free entry to the Battleship NC.

Register by October 17th and attend the Expo and you will get a 2024 race shirt in your size. After October 17th, you can choose from remaining sizes until shirts are gone.

LIVING WITH WATER
Help Pedestrian Access & Wildlife at the Battleship NORTH CAROLINA

The Battleship NC site experiences flooding during most high tides, and not just during storms, but even during sunny-days. The Living with Water project aims to preserve the Ship experience and protect wildlife by restoring the shoreline with an intertidal estuarine living shoreline, and restore the 2-acre flood prone area with a wetland habtiat.
