Join us for the 7th Annual Flunk Cancer 5K and 1 Mile Walk/Run, an inspiring community event hosted at Sunset Park Elementary School in Wilmington, North Carolina.

This race supports the Flunk Cancer Foundation, a dedicated non-profit organization committed to helping local teachers and their families navigate the complex challenges of cancer – providing crucial emotional, physical, and psychological support.

The event honors the memory of Shannon McHone, a beloved teacher who courageously fought Glioblastoma until her passing in April 2019. Through this race, the Flunk Cancer Foundation continues Shannon's inspiring legacy by supporting teachers facing similar battles against cancer.
