ILM Airport 5K

Race Description

Join us for the ILM Airport 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. Along with the run, the ILM Airport will also be hosting Aviation Day. Proposed events include:

• Fly/drive-in with pancake breakfast to benefit Wounded Warrior Project
• Young Eagles
• A few warbirds for static display aircraft
• Cape fear Kite Festival
• The Wilmington Model Flying Club
• the Sun Coast Cruisers.

For the first time in history participants will be allowed to run/walk on the ILM Airport runway where over ¾ million passengers per year take off and land in 800,000+lbs Airplanes. History will be made. Be one of the first to step foot on the 8,000+ foot runway.
