The WECT Get Fit with 6 is a 5K and 1 Mile run/walk in downtown Wilmington - and a FREE Expo.
The event starts and finishes at Waterline Brewery.
Run or Walk alongside your favorite WECT News talent, then stay for the Free Expo, or just join us at Waterline Brewery for the Expo.
THE EXPO
FREE Expo on Race Day from 7:30 AM to Noon at the race site at Waterline Brewery.
Join us for entertainment, food trucks, and a marketplace with local health experts, artisans, demonstrations, and meet WECT talent too!
Perfect for race participants to attend before or after their run/walk.
Did we mention the Expo is FREE!
RACE SWAG
Race Shirt: All participants who register by August 20th receive a WECT Get Fit with 6 shirt. Participants who register after can choose from remaining sizes.
Finisher Medal: All participants who cross the finish line will receive a finisher medal.
THE COURSE
Waterline Brewery 721 Surrey Street Wilmington, NC 28401
This is a fast and flat paved road course that takes runners around downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.
This race course is also stroller riendly! However, dogs are not allowed on this course so please leave them at home or with a non-running spectators.

THE CAUSE
WECT Get Fit with 6 supports the paws4people foundation.
paws4people foundation raises, trains, and places Assistance Dogs with children, veterans, military dependents, and civilians living with disabilities.
The paws4people philosophy is that children and adolescents with disabilities are taught how to utilize an Assistance Dog to mitigate the effects of their disability.
