2023 Race Cancelled

Due to the impending storm, we are cancelling the 2023 Pier-2-Pier Swim. This is not a decision we take lightly but feel that it is in the best interest of our participants, volunteers, and staff to not hold the race this year. Per our refund policy, all registrations have been deferred to next year's race. Once we have more information about the date, we will send that information out via email and Facebook. If you have any questions, please contact trent@capefeartri.com or ashley.barnes@ymcasenc.org.

YMCA's Pier-2-Pier Race

The YMCA’s Pier-2 Pier Race, in memory of Ryan Young, is an open water ocean swimming event held at beautiful Wrightsville Beach, NC. The swim is approximately 2 miles point-to-point between Johnny Mercer and Crystal Piers with prevailing current.

This unique event creates a lot of excitement and enthusiasm in the swimming community and highlights the Y’s commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility. All proceeds from the Pier-2-Pier race benefit the YMCA’s Safety Around Water program, a free water safety and swim lesson course available to the community each spring, summer and fall.
