Description

Update 10/4/2024: The official decision has been made to move the Scheels BurliMOT back one day to Sunday, October 6th.  All start/shuttle times and locations will be the same, just one day later. Information below has been updated with correct information.

The Scheels BurliMOT Half Marathon is a unique running event that showcases the beautiful communities of Burlington and Minot, ND by way of a scenic 13.1 mile course that follows the Souris Valley along dedicated running/biking paths. ***Course Change: This year we will be running it backwards!  Starting in downtown Minot and ending at the Burlington Sports Complex!

All runners registered for the half marathon, half marathon relay, or 5K by September 20th will receive a custom BurliMOT shirt.

Finisher Medals will be also be provided for all half marathon, half marathon relay, and 5K finishers.

Races:
Half Marathon - Starts in Minot on Sunday,  October 6th at 8:30am.  Shuttles will be available at the finish line in Burlington at 7:00am to get you to the start line in Minot.  Parking near the finish is located on the north side of the Sports Complex; please follow Colton Ave then turn onto Stemen Drive.

Half Marathon Relay - This race starts at the same time as the Half Marathon and follows the same course.  Relay runners can exchange wherever they want along the course. The first leg can run 11 miles and the second can run 2.1, if they choose.  The second leg will just need to be waiting on the course wherever the team decides and hop on when the first leg gets to that point. You may also add additional runners (up to 4 total) and each can run their own portion of the half marathon relay, exchanging wherever your team decides. The cost of the Half Marathon Relay covers two participants, but additional shirts and medals will be available for purchase for those additional runners. There is no shuttle to the half way point so although those running the 1st leg can hop on the shuttle to get to the start of their leg in Burlington, the 2nd leg is responsible for getting themselves to the start of the the 2nd leg.  When registering for this race, you have the option to allow the 1st leg person for the relay to continue on to finish the full half marathon, it just needs to be noted in the questions answered during registration so we know to chip them for both the relay and the half marathon.

5K - This race starts will be starting at a new location along County Hwy 15.  The 5K joins along the half marathon course and finishes with them at the Burlington Sports Complex.  Parking near the finish is located on the north side of the Sports Complex; please follow Colton Ave then turn onto Stemen Drive. You can be dropped off at the starting point otherwise a shuttle will be available to drive you from the Sports Complex to the start.

1 Mile Walk/Run/Roll - This race takes place on Friday, October 4th, in Oak Park at the same time and place as packet pickup. This 1 mile fun run/walk/roll is open to all abilities.  Any mobility aid is welcome to be used (crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, race chairs, strollers). Able-bodied and differently-abled bodies are invited to participate together in this inclusive event.  This event is not timed.
