2026 Omaha Running Club (ORC) Distance Clinic Leading to the Omaha Marathon- Commitment to Consistency
The start of the clinic will officially start on June 1st to Sunday, September 27th.
ORC Members: $25.00 registration.
Non-members: $50.00 (This will include ORC membership for one year).
What You Get as an ORC Member and Distance Clinic member:

- A free training plan for the Omaha Mrathon on September 27th. This is a 17 week plan leading to the half marathon or full marathon. We will help you support goals!!!
- Weekly tips and advice
- Free admission to ORC fun runs
- Complimentary entry to the Chiller Challenge, including a post-race buffet lunch
- A monthly club newsletter featuring insights from elite marathoner, Jesse
- More information on the STRAVA group and Facebook will be forthcoming

Water and snacks provided during Thursday Hills & Strength sessions
Expert-led sessions on topics like:
- Injury prevention
- Nutrition
- Core strength benefits
- Choosing the right running shoes
- Transitioning between road and trail running
- Marathon training and beyond
Consistent group runs with individual support 7 days a week to help you reach your goals
Additional experienced coaches and team leaders available at various locations throughout Omaha (times and locations vary).
Fun “pop-up” prizes and drawings to reward consistency and participation
Weekly Group ORC Runs:
- Monday Madness at Swanson Park Mountain Bike Trail-6:15pm with Mitzi, and Coleen
- Tuesday Night Track (TNT), - warmup starts at 545pm or before. Track work out at 6pm. These are usually held at Buena Vista High School. Once a month there are mile repeats at Elmwood Park by the outside pool (all levels).
- Wednesday night Peak Run- 6pm at Peak Performance on 78th Cass St. Conversation pace or tempo run. This group has been running for over 10 years (all levels). Also, on Wednesday- The Aksarben Running Club- starts from Inner Rail at 6:30pm.
- Thursday Hills & Strength: 5:45pm (one hour of the scheduled run plan). Location: Pacific Meadows at 159th Pacific Street. This will be slow progression starting out with dynamic drills and warm up. Afterwards, at 645pm- Optional boot camp-style with hills, grit and strength (30 minutes).
- (New!) Friday-6am at Flanagan Lake: with Nat Ogura and the Elkhorn Running Amigos
- Saturday- Hardy Coffee Downtown 7:30am with Joe Marvin (all levels)
- Saturday- 8am Peak Performance 156th Maple Street with Kevin Kathka and others!
- Sundays with Omaha Running Club: 8am. (See Omaha Running Club Facebook or Instagram page as location varies)- Either a recovery run or long run at conversation pace (all levels).
- *Starting June 14: Sunday trails- 8am. Achieve the Distance at Lake Cunningham trails with Kim Petersen.

May 7th 2026, at 6pm. Location: Peak Performance, 78th Cass St, Omaha, NE: Special guest, Todd Nott; Former cross- country coach for over 30 years who continues to dominate the ultra- marathons and road races. He will share some of his experiences and valuable advice.
May 15th, from 4pm-7pm, I will have an information booth at Oakview Mall!!
June 17th 2026 at 6pm. Location: Peak Performance, 78th Cass St, Omaha, NE: The importance of CORE- with special guest, Hilary Catron. Bring a mat!
July 15th, 2026- at 6pm Location Barbra Weitz Community Center. Nutrition with expert Niki Kubiak
August 5th 2026 at 6pm. Location: Peak Performance, 78th Cass St, Omaha, NE: Heel Yeah—Let’s Talk Running Shoes. Special guest, Peak Performance Owner, Tim Kruger.
