Description
The run will consist of a 1k for children and 5k run or walk for students, faculty and staff.
The run benefits the American Univiersty of Nigeria's Feed to Read Program, that provides displaced, orphaned and Almajiri girls and boys a daily meal and teaches them basic literacy and numeracy.
It costs $1 per day to feed one child their only meal of the day.
It costs $50 to teach that child to read.
Cost of Participating:
1k for children: free
5k for students and staff: N500 ($2.50 USD)
5k for faculty: N1000 ($5 USD)
5k for virtual runners: $5 USD
- Your donation sponsors a runner at AUN
- Your 5k time will be posted
- You'll receive a shirt or choose to let all the funds that would be used to make and mail a shirt go toward the Feed and Read program.
How to Sign Up:
- *Please complete your registration here before coming to the President's office on May 6th starting at 2pm to pay your registration fee, pick up your race bib and shirt. Kat will have a computer set up for you to register in the office if you are unable to do so beforehand.
- *Alternatively, you can pay your entry fee online here at AUNF
- *Virtual runners, please pay online, venmo me (@katensign) or give me cash to bring before I leave on May 4th.
*After May 4th, I cannot guarantee you will receive the shirt size you order*
All entry fees and donations will go directly to the Feed and Read Program.
