Newfound Firecracker 5K

The 10th Annual Newfound Firecracker 5K is a fun run (not a timed event) hosted by the Newfound Track & Field Program. Proceeds go in part towards the Peter Corneliusen Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded annually to a 4-year track and field Newfound athlete to assist with their continuing education costs.

• Race starts at 8:30 am at the far end of Kelley Park near the Newfound Middle School (Bristol, NH).
• Check-in/day of registration starts at 8 AM
• Race t-shirts given to the first 60 to pre-register by June 19 (shirts are not guaranteed for all pre-registered participants)
• Medals for over top 18+ and under 18 male and female runner 
• Pre-registration fee $20 / $45 if you register on race day
• All racers are entered in race day raffle to win fabulous prizes

About the Scholarship
Pete Corneliusen taught at Newfound from 1969 to 1985 and was co-founder of the school’s Track and Field program. The scholarship commemorates his dedication to good sportsmanship, fair play, honest competition, and camaraderie, and his positive influence on young and old alike.
