Give Back Virtual 5k by Greater Derry Track Club
To support local restaurants and “local heroes” who are on the front line to help our community during the pandemic.
When: Any time Saturday May 30th or Sunday May 31st
Why run?
Your $10 registration will be used to buy a gift card from a local restaurant. That gift card will then be given to a “local hero" (police, fire, medical, etc) in our community. You can decide how many “local heroes” you want to buy a meal for. We will be supporting local restaurants AND showing appreciation to people who are on the front lines, helping our community.
What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is a race that can be run at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or any other option to complete the 5K distance.
How do I participate?
Joining in on the fun is easy!
Step 1: Register online. www.gdtc.org
Step 2: Invite your friends and family to participate too
Step 3: Choose your route - Use a GPS watch or your car odometer to map out a 5k (3.1 mile) course
Step 4: Complete your 5K!
Step 5: Submit your time via RunSignUp and email your race selfie and pictures to info@gdtc.org. Your time and pics will be displayed on RunSignUp's race page and on GDTC's website.
**All participants who submit a photo will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card to a local restaurant provided by the GDTC!**
