Sabine Strong 3.3 & Kids Dash

Sat August 29 - Fri September 4 Newington, NH 03801 US Directions RaceJoy Ready

We at CompetitorME, and the Sabine Strong Committee, take the health and well being of our participants, volunteers, spectators, and staff very seriously.  We have adopted COVID-19 protocols to assist in a safe return to the sport we all love.

Despite these protocols, collectively we have decided to make this year's Sabine Strong 3.3 event a Virtual Race.  We are excited for this opportunity, and hope you are, too.

In the week leading up to the event, we will be sending your packets through mail.  Additionally, we will be using RaceJoy, a free app that will allow you to run your 5K anywhere in the world, and still receive audio on the course, plus receive cheers from family members, and automatically post your results!

This year has been trying for us all.  We continue to hope you and your family remains safe.  Thank you for joining us to honor and remember a local Hero.

Newington Fire Chief Darin Sabine was born on August 4, 1984 in Newington, NH and his last
alarm was on September 7, 2019 after a 2-year battle with colon cancer.
Chief Sabine was diagnosed in early 2017 with Stage 4 colon cancer. He had spent much of his
short time here on earth either with family or at the fire station. He was dedicated to his family and
brotherhood. He fought hard to spend as much time as he could with his wife and 2 little girls.
With this race we will keep Chief Sabine’s memory alive and raise funds to support his family and
other first responders and their families who have been affected by cancer. The race length of 3.3
miles is in honor of Newington Fire Department 33.

The mission of Nutfield Protection Fire District is to raise funds to help support first
responders and their families affected by cancer.
The Nutfield Fire Protection District is a qualified 501(c)3 non-profit organization
under EIN # 45-4497783

Service & Sacrifice Series Challenge

This event is proud to be a part of the Service & Sacrifice Series Challenge!

The Service & Sacrifice Series Challenge serves as a collaborative effort to raise awareness of events that continue the legacies of our Nation's Gold Star Families, Military Active Duty, Veterans, and First Responder Heroes.

Our mission is simple: Inspired by Heroes and Connecting Communities.
The goal is to connect civilians with those who have served, and introducing events, stories, and legacies they may never have known. The Service and Sacrifice Series motto is: Remember, Honor, and Inspire.

In 2020, the Service & Sacrifice Series Challenge will be managed by the Honoring Heroes Foundation. The Honoring Heroes Foundation is a 501(c)(3) whose mission aligns with that of the Challenge. The major project of the Foundation is the Maine Gold Star Family Memorial, which will be dedicated from the People of the State of Maine, to the Gold Star Families of Maine and our Nation.

Being a part of the 2020 Service & Sacrifice Series Challenge remains simple and can be done anywhere Worldwide! We’ve added new events to our calendar, including three Virtual Events, that represent 16 total events over 9 months. Eligibility for the Challenge requires participants to register for 10 total events, participate in person or virtually, and earn cool Challenge swag at the end!  For more information, please visit our Website or find us on Facebook!
