This year we are continuing the 14th Annual Krogh's Turkey Trot tradition with a little twist as a virtual Turkey Trot!  Let's continue the tradition before the tradition in a very different way during this very different year. 

When you participate in Krogh’s Turkey Trot, you support innovative educational grants made by the Sparta Education Foundation, whose mission is to promote educational excellence in Sparta Township’s public schools.

What's Next?

Register... of course!

• $25 to register for the 5K
• 17 & Under will receive $5 off their $25 5K entry
• $10 for the 1-Mile Fun Run
• USATF Members will receive a $3 discount (please, no double dipping). 

Now help us spread the word. Tell your friends and family, and anyone that will listen! Not just your immediate family, but those across the country or around the world. Let's see how far we can share this tradition now that it has been virtualized!

Once you register for either the 5K or 1M Fun Run, you will have the week leading up to Thanksgiving to run and submit your Virtual Results! Virtual Results submissions will be accepted starting November 19th (12:01AM ...if so inclined) through Thanksgiving Day (11:59PM). Simply select the Results tab above, click the "Submit Virtual Results" button and lookup your entry. After which you will be transferred to the time entry page where you'll be able to immortalize your support of this time tested tradition!

Making it interesting...

Given that each participant will be running "virtually" on their own, we wanted to ensure you were truly motivated to put your best foot forward. The Sparta Education Foundation race committee in association with Tristate Timing has added a few local courses to the RunGo database! (Use of RunGo and the Krogh's course details can be found below). We're not suggesting you run the Krogh's course, but if you were so inclined, using RunGo would be the way to go! Be sure to check out the list below before you go!

Not from the area? 

We invite those outside our area to join in on the festivities as well. Simply search routes using RunGo or make your own. After you submit your time we'd like to include all newly created RunGo courses to the list below so others in "your neck of the woods" can give it a shot. Simply post a link to the course on our Facebook page along with your story and we'll update our course listings. No better way to honor this tradition than becoming a part of it! Be the first from your state to post one!

Still not sure what course to run? Find your own:

1. 1. Search the USATF Course Database for a course in your local area! Simply add your state and 5K or 1M distance to the search form... and voila!... more choices than you can shake a stick at. All certified to the length required.

.... Just be sure to select a course that is at least 5K, 3.10686 miles in length. Now off you go!
