The Eighth Annual Mercer County Turkey Trot -- a virtual 5K race and 1 mile walk -- will take place Saturday, November 21 through Sunday, November 29. While we will miss seeing your smiling faces in person, we are looking forward to making this event the most successful one yet! The proceeds from the Race support our local food pantries and their need has never been greater.
Grab your friends and form a virtual team to help provide for those in need in these difficult times. Teams with over 10 members will get $3 off registration for each team member. Coming soon will be links to help you find the best course and a curated playlist to facilitate your training with us.
This year, we're making the official race t-shirt available as an item you can purchase and have shipped directly to you! Visit our merchandise store to select your size and order a shirt. To ensure that you'll have your shirt in time for race week, please order by November 4.
We may not all be able to gather on Thanksgiving morning to run together as usual, but you'll still have an individualized bib with your race number! More details will be sent out to all registered runners the week before the race, so stay tuned for instructions on how to download your individualized race bib.
Download the official 2020 Mercer County Turkey Trot virtual race Spotify playlist! Curated by the MCTT Race Committee, this playlist includes some of our favorites to get your heart pumping and keep you on track as you run. Use it as you train over the next weeks and blast it out during your official run on Thanksgiving week!
Looking for a tool to help you set your own 5K or 1-mile course for this year's run? We recommend Map My Run, which will enable you to create your own route or choose from popular nearby routes as you plan and train. On Race Day, use any of your smart devices along with the app to track your route progress and time.
More information will be available at www.MercerCountyTurkeyTrot.com as we get closer to the race time.
This is the eighth annual event being organized by a Race Committee of Mercer County residents. The race committee will oversee the donation of the net proceeds from the event to local food pantries. If you or your organization are interested in supporting the Mercer County Turkey Trot, please contact MercerTurkeyTrot@gmail.com.
