Description
Put on your running shoes and join the Burlington Township Police FOP Lodge #84 in a 5k run, the second annual ‘Cardio for Cosmo’ Memorial 5k run honoring fallen Detective Steven T. Cosmo #3099. Detective Cosmo impacted the lives of so many people and it is our job to now honor and remember him for the loving, caring, dedicated man that he was.
This event is a memorial 5k run with the intention of memorializing Detective Cosmo and giving back to programs that help provide suicide prevention assistance to our country’s law enforcement and military personnel as well as giving students with an interest in law enforcement, military or mental health professions scholarships to make those dreams happen.
Your participation will benefit first H.E.L.P., a nonprofit organization aiming to reduce the mental health stigma among first responders through education and awareness while honoring the lives we lost to suicide and supporting the families in the aftermath. In addition, your participation will give back to Misson 22 whose mission is support Veterans through long-term mental and physical wellness programs. Scholarships are also given each year to students from the Burlington Township High School with the intention of working in Law Enforcement, the Mental Health field or going into the Military after graduation. Additional contributions can be made at the "Donate" tab.
