Description

History of Neighborhood: Fairview is the most fully realized WWI garden village project in the nation and, as the first federally funded planned community in the country, is on the National Register of Historic Places and is an American Institute of Certified Planner’s Landmark. The community’s historic importance is the springboard for current revival efforts.

Course: Enjoy this fast and flat course, through the first planned walking community in the country. The course starts and finishes in Yorkship Square, the heart of our community, and meanders through the neighboring streets, with views of Colonial Revival Architecture, grand open parks, Newton Creek, and even the Walt Whitman Bridge.  Timing provided by TNT Event Management.

Special Attention History Buffs: The course will be marked with fun facts to learn about the unique aspects of our garden village making this 5K fun and educational.
