What is the GWB Challenge?
Information
The American Cancer Society is the only organization in the world to be able to shut down the world’s busiest bridge to host this one-of-a-kind bucket list race. With 5k and 10k walk or run options, the sights of this run are breathtaking, and you'll be making your miles more meaningful with funds being donated to the American Cancer Society! We meet each year on National Cancer Survivors Day to fight back against cancer and celebrate our survivors and fighters as symbols of hope and resilience.

Contact Race Director, Cori
Hi, I'm Cori! I'm a Senior Manager for Endurance Events at the American Cancer Society. I've been with ACS since 2018, and I currently manage an event portfolio that consistes of 5 running events across the country all raising money to help end cancer as we know it for everyone.
Pictured here is my sidekick, Chief, whom I fostered, then foster-failed from Save The Satos Rescue in October 2024. He is my pride and joy, assistant coworker and best friend. Although dogs are not allowed at the event, please know that I wish they could so that I can bring this little boy as well. As a work-from-home employee - he has been designated as the GWB Challenge's Social Media Manager - be sure to give us a follow on instagram at @gwbchallenge_acs if you want to chat with Chief!
I am happy to serve as your race director as we enter the 40th anniversary of this event. I've been managing this event since 2020 and have seen the growth, excitment, and impact it is creating every year and looking forward to seeing this event help even more people this upcoming year than in the past.
In my free time, I am a competitive Crossfit athlete/coach, while also training for the Philly Half Marathon currently. I enjoy spending time in my garden, going hiking and swimming, and hanging out with my amazing family and friends. Chief, of course, tags along for almost everything!
Feel free to send me an email or phone call for anything regarding this event or other endurance events at the American Cancer Society. I love to chat!
