The Wyckoff Family YMCA and the Franklin Lakes Mayor’s Wellness Campaign are pleased to announce the Annual “Franklin Lakes Scenic Half-Marathon and 5K", to be held Sunday, October 1, 2023
Both routes will wind throughout Franklin Lakes beginning and ending at the Franklin Lakes Recreation Center at 1 Vichiconti Way in Franklin Lakes.

Bag Pickup is the morning of the race, beginning at 6:15am.
Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall males and females as well as age group winners in 5-year increments. Half Marathon age groups are: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, etc. through 80+. There is a 3:15 cut off before race support will no longer be available. 5K age groups are: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-24, etc. through 80+.. Due to the nature of the courses, strollers and headphones are prohibited.
Athlete and Spectator Parking
Athlete Parking will be in the Franklin Lakes Commuter Lot, within the Express Scripts Campus with a shuttle transporting participants to and from the race. Everyone should enter the Express Scripts campus from Old Mill Rd. using GPS address 815 Old Mill Rd. Franklin Lakes, NJ. On-Site Parking is available for Handicap athletes and spectators.
Spectators should plan alternate parking throughout the area of Franklin Lakes including Veterans Park Lot, Municipal Lot, Municipal Field Lot, and Library Lot. Athletes may also use these parking lots, though no shuttle service is provided.
Secure Bag Check
We will be offering a Gear Bag Check next to Registration and Packet Pick-up the morning of the race. If you wish to use the Gear Bag Check, you MUST provide your own bag and put your NAME and BIB NUMBER on the bag. To claim your belongings after the race, you will need your RACE BIB to match your gear bag.
Restrooms
There will be Porta-Potties located at race check-in, near the starting line. There will also be six Porta-Potties on course at three different locations. They will be positioned near the 3.5, 6.5 and 10.5 mile marks on the course.
Fluid Stations
There will be 6 Fluid Stations out on the course, approximately every two miles. Each fluid station will have Gatorade (Lemon Lime) first and water second. There will be a yellow sign with black writing stating “FLUID STATION AHEAD” approximately 100 yards before each Fluid Station.
Emergency/Medical Support
The Franklin Lakes EMS squad will be providing support along the race course and at the finish line. If you need medical support during the race, tell any volunteer or race official so they can get the necessary support.
Race Safety
We STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you DO NOT use headphones during the race. As runners, we need to be aware of our surroundings. The course is open to traffic and we should avoid any distractions we can control. Strollers/baby joggers/etc. are not permitted.
